Marchese Record 525 – Clap Skate Blade for Long-Distance and Marathon Speed Skating
The Marchese Record 525 clap skate blade assembly is designed for long-distance and marathon speed skaters who value control, stability and efficient power transfer. Its construction combines a relatively flexible skating feel on the straights with the ability to build pressure progressively through corners. The responsive steering characteristics help skaters apply pressure to the ice in a controlled manner and make use of a larger effective push-off area.
The Marchese Record 525 speed skating blade is particularly suitable for skaters looking for predictable handling during long training sessions and marathon races. The larger effective push-off area may help maintain an efficient skating stroke when fatigue sets in, strides become shorter or the lateral push-off becomes less pronounced. This can support consistent skating technique over longer distances.
The blade assembly features a Reynolds Chrome Moly steel tube with a wall thickness of 0.9 mm and a laser-welded S601HS bi-metal steel runner with a hardness of 62–63 HRC and a blade height of 28 mm. The 7075 aluminium clap mechanism incorporates 688 TwinCam® ILQ cartridge bearings and double oversized linear springs, designed for consistent operation and durability.
