Icetec enkelsokjes snijvast 360
The ICETEC Level 5 cut-resistant ankle sock with 360° ankle protection is developed for long-track and marathon speed skating. The outside features smooth Lycra, while the inside incorporates cut-resistant Dyneema. The ankle sock provides Level 5 ankle protection according to the stated ISU regulations and features a newly developed construction with 360-degree protection around the front of the ankle.
Cut-resistant Dyneema with a smooth Lycra outer
The combination of a smooth Lycra outer and cut-resistant Dyneema on the inside creates a slim construction that fits closely around the ankle and skate boot. The 360° construction at the front is designed to provide additional protection around this vulnerable ankle area against cuts from sharp skate blades.
Extremely thin inside the skate boot
Every additional layer can be noticeable inside a close-fitting speed skating boot. For this reason, the Lycra section that sits inside the boot is extremely thin. There are also no seams underneath the foot, helping to minimise unnecessary bulk inside the skate boot.
Developed for intensive speed skating
This ICETEC Level 5 ankle sock is also professionally used by marathon speed skaters and long-track sprinters. The protection has undergone extended testing during 125-lap marathon races and has been developed with intensive training and racing in mind.
Sizing and fit
The ICETEC ankle sock is available in four sizes. Size L will generally fit around shoe sizes 40-43, although the correct size also depends on factors such as instep height. For the best fit, we recommend trying the ankle protection together with your own speed skating boots where possible.
