Icetec shin/ankle cutfixed protector
The ICETEC 2-in-1 shin and ankle protector combines shin and ankle protection in one practical product. This innovative cut-resistant protection for speed skaters is designed to bring two important protective areas together without adding unnecessary material inside the skate boot.
Shin protector and ankle sock in one
Instead of wearing a separate shin protector and ankle sock, this ICETEC design combines both components in a single construction. This provides protection for both the shin and ankle and creates a practical solution for training and racing.
Extremely thin Lycra strap underneath the foot
The ankle protection is kept in position while skating by an extremely thin Lycra strap underneath the foot. Keeping this strap thin helps minimise the amount of additional material inside a close-fitting speed skating boot.
Integrated transponder pocket
A practical transponder pocket is positioned around the ankle. A timing transponder can be placed in this pocket while skating, making the ICETEC shin/ankle protector particularly practical for races using transponder timing.
