Icetec ClapLocker Viking
The Icetec ClapLocker for Viking Nagano is a practical speed skating accessory that allows the clap mechanism of a Viking Nagano skate frame to be locked. This temporarily makes the clap skate function more like a fixed-blade skate. It can provide additional stability and confidence, particularly when skating on natural ice or for skaters who feel more comfortable with a fixed skate construction.
Additional stability on natural ice
Natural ice can feature cracks, uneven surfaces and changing ice conditions. By locking the clap mechanism of the Viking Nagano, the Icetec ClapLocker can provide a more stable and familiar skating feel. This can be particularly useful for older skaters or anyone looking for additional confidence when skating on natural ice.
From clap skate to fixed skate
The ClapLocker is exclusively designed for the Viking Nagano skate frame and is made for straightforward installation. It allows you to lock the clap mechanism without immediately changing to a completely different skate frame. The Allen key size required for the mounting bolts is the same as for the Viking bolts, helping to keep installation simple and practical.
